Snow Snow Snow

Were else can you see a palm tree, pine tree, and snow covered mountains. I also think it's fun to see our big oak trees in the middle of the roads throughout town.

The house that closed friday

Here is the happy family that purchased the house that closed on Friday. :) It was great to give them a framed copy of it today. We also decided to frame a 4x6 picture of each family we move into a home in front of their new home, so we can create a wall of inspiration in our office at the office.

Opening the door of their first home, Mark Natalie and Semi....aahhhhh. Sniff Sniff.

It's finally here

We are soooo excited today. A house that we sold back on October 19 2007 is finally ready to receive it's new owners. This home is closing two weeks late due to some unexpected issues, so I was a little nervous calling in this morning to see if title recoreded and I teared up when I heard my favorite word "yes". We called the new home owners and set up a meeting for 2:30 to give them the keys to their brand new house and of course our "Welcome Home" basket of fun stuff. :) I will try to get some pictures to post of this very exciting day. Steven will be happy when he finds out that they scheduled for after school so he could be their. They felt it was only fair since he did spend hours and hours with all of us during this long process.

This is what it's all about I tell ya. Getting a paycheck isn't to bad either :)

Not easy come...Not easy go

Well the house I sold Friday is going back on the market, the family that was trying to purchase it had to back out of the deal. I am very sad for them, but we will keep trying and we will get them in a home. In the mean time, I will find a family for this awesome home!!! I am on a mission.

Steven's little friend Oliver has been coming home with us each day after school and he stays until around 6:30. It has been so much fun having him here. He is a sweet little guy and is on one of the same medicines that Steven is on. Anyway he will go to his new sitter starting next week, but I hope we can still have him one day a week because he and Steven really do get along well.

Our new car went in to get it's sealant put on today. They did the inside only as we discovered hard water spots on the windows and paint and I found a scratch that I want fixed, so Monday they will be taking care of the outside issues then putting the sealant on it. On the downside, while Scott was driving it to Selma, a semi in front of him threw a rock and put a chip in the window. That will be fixed next week as well. When I get it back I will take the pictures I have been promising.

I just had to share this picture taken by my mom and dad of the squirrel that visits their home for his meals. Isn't he just cute.

The house I sold Friday

In a Cul-de-sac so it allows for the long driveway.

This home is 3092 sq feet.

This is your view form the entryway.

The loft above the entry door. Awesome kitchen with the cherry cabinets. Granite counters
18x18 travertene flooring

Huge walk in master closet, no joke it is larger the Steven's bedroom.
Master Bathroom
View of the loft from upstairs.

Backyard is small because the house takes up so much of the lot.
Looking down from the loft.

looking from the sitting area to the bedroom area of the master suite. (no joke the sitting area could hold 2 couches, entertainment center, coffe table and an over stuffed chair. Not counting decorations and such.

This house is just so neat.

"Mom we need to go on a date"

So at Steven's request we went on a date. We each got vanilla lattes, washed the new car, and went to the movies. We went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and it was cute as heck. We laughed and laughed and laughed. After the movie we went to the pet store and purchased a new fish. Our Betta "swimmy" died while we were in Cancun so we needed a new one. We are now the proud owners of Zachary the red Betta. Steven indicated when Zachary dies this year when we are in Cancun, we will by a new one and name him Cody. We sure go through a lot of fish around here. We topped off our night with enchiladas and Star Wars Legos on the Wii.

This morning I was up bright and early so I cooked us cheese omelets, toast, banana, and milk. mmm mmm mmm. Then I dropped him off at school and did the happy dance of freedom. Too bad I had to get straight to work as I had new clients meeting with me today.

Well I am off to take some pictures of the new house I sold Friday. I will post them on this blog because this home is beautiful.

Pardon Me, Do You Have Any Grey Poupon?

Do you remember these commercials? Well, we are old enough to remember these commercials and we just assume everyone will know what we are talking about and laugh hysterically when we pull up to them and ask the famous question......note to self ..not the case.

One of my clients was walking to her car and I pulled up beside her and asked the famous question, she looked at me with big eyes and said "you have got to be kidding me....how the heck did I get poop on me? Where is it? I don't want to get it in the car? Great, do you have a napkin or something so I can try to get it off."....she said more but this is all I can remember. I was so shocked by her reaction that it took me a minute to process what was happening, I tried to explain, then I started laughing so hard I was crying. My client did not... I repeat ...did not find it as funny as I did. I think all I got was a courtesy laugh and I'm sure that was just because I apologized profusely.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I will be hearing from her again real soon. Glad we already sold her a house as it just might be the last one we sell her. :)

All is good

Steven and I were prepared for the worst and ended up getting the best. NO high winds, NO flooding, and we Never lost power. We stayed up until 10:00 pm to see if the winds were going to pick up and when we walked outside the air was still. So we decided we would sleep in our own beds lsat night. Glad we did as I got a really good nights sleep. I went outside to see how much snow we got in the mountains (seirra nevada's) this morning and the cloud cover is too thick to get a good look at the mountains and foothills. According to the news I 80 is closed, so if we get more snow, the Men will need to extend "Mens Weekend". Which may be a bummer cause I think financialy the two gamblers may be out of money by Sunday. Knowing Scott he will use his non gambled away money to fly home Monday if the airport is opens.

Well time to get ready for my appointments today.

80 mile an hour winds and flooding

Well it is pretty silly weather here right now but as things stand we are doing well. It is almost 7:00 pm and we still have power and the winds are probably 20-30 miles an hour and rain is pouring down. I was shocked last night to discover that we were to have level 3 hurricane winds.

Scott, his brother, and best friend left last night for their annual "man's weekend" to Vegas and no I did not allow them to take the new car (Honda CRV). The Sierra Nevada Mountains are to get up to 10 feet of snow in the higher elevations. Scott wanted to fly especially since the return trip would have only been $21.00 each but the others wanted to drive. By leaving last night they missed the storm all together. They will drive home Monday afternoon unless Danny and Chad run of money before hand. Scott took $50.00 bucks to gamble with and turned it into $170.00 right away so he is happy an content sticking it in his wallett and bringing it home with him.

I worked the office this morning and had a walk in client tell me they were ready to buy. Soooo, Steven and I stuffed them in the CRV and took them to a few homes and as I figured they fell in love with the first one and we are signing contracts at 10:30 in the morning. Woooohooo another home sold. I will try to get some pictures of it in the morning to post because it is beautiful and huge...3094 sq feet 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, living room, family room, formal dining room, breakfast nook, upstairs loft (livingroom/teen room) and all of the cool kitchen upgrades. The nice thing about this one is the house is complete so we should have a 30 day escrow which means we get paid in 30 days rather then the 90 to 120 days on the other ones we sold this past 2 months. We are excited that a house we sold on October 19th will be closing escrow next Thursday. Steven wrote it down on his calendar. because that means he gets a paycheck also.

I told Scott before he left that I was gonna sell a house while he was gone and sure enough less then 24 hours after he leaves I sold a 350,000.00 home. This will cover our Cancun vacation this December. Wooohooo. Mark your calendar mom and dad cause you will have roommates again.

Well I better sign out and play some Wii with little man before the power goes out.
